Tennessee Whiskey

Tennessee Whiskey is a song written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove. It is considered one of the most accessible country songs to play on a guitar. This was recorded by an American country music singer named David Allan Coe. It peaked at number 88 in 1981 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles. The song was again released in 1983 by George Jones. This 1983 release reached its number 2 rank on the same chart. After that, many artists did a rendition of the song. One of the most notable covers was when Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake performed at the Country Music Association Awards, which propelled it to another level of popularity. This version has been certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Coat of Many Colors

A coat of many colors is a song written and recorded by Dolly Parton. It was released in 1971 as the title track of her album of the same name. The song’s music video features cameo appearances from Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Hillary Scott, and Earl Dibbles Jr.

The song is mid-tempo, in which the narrator talks about how boys “round here” grow up. The lyrics use clichés about southern men, with lines such as “there’s a little bit of Friday night fights / A little bit of T-ball games / And scratchin’ out them 8-tracks.”

King Of The Road

The song “King of the Road” was initially recorded in 1965 by Roger Miller. It is a country song about a vagabond who travels around the country, doing whatever he wants.

Some people interpret the song to be about a free man who doesn’t have to answer to anyone. Others see it as a song about someone running away from his problems. No matter what interpretation you choose, the lyrics will make you smile.

Achy, Breaky Heart

“Achy Breaky Heart” is a country song written by Don Von Tress. It was initially recorded by Cyndi Lauper for her 1993 album Hat Full of Stars and later covered by Billy Ray Cyrus on his 1992 album. Some Gave All. The Billy Ray Cyrus version charted at number one on the Billboard Country Singles chart for five weeks in 1992, becoming the first single ever to achieve triple platinum status in that genre. The song’s commercial success helped launch Cyrus’ career as a country music artist.

When You Say Nothing at All

“When You Say Nothing at All” is a song written by Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz. It was a hit song for American country music artist Alison Krauss in 1995 and has been covered by numerous artists.

The song is about the power of silence and inaction and how sometimes saying nothing can be the best way to tell everything. In the lyrics, the narrator describes how they can understand their partner perfectly, even when they’re not speaking. By being present and attentive, they can communicate everything they need to without saying a word.

It’s a beautiful sentiment and one that often rings true in relationships.

Ocean Front Property

If you’re looking for oceanfront property, there’s no need to look any further than the lyrics of country music. Some of the most iconic songs in the genre mention oceanfront property prominently, often beautifully describing the natural scenery and patterns of waves crashing against the shoreline.

One prime example is Kenny Chesney’s “Living in Fast Forward.” The song is all about living life to its fullest and enjoying every moment and features the line “I want to get lost / Down where Topsail meets the sand.” Topsail Island is a popular beach destination in North Carolina, known for its vast stretches of unspoiled shoreline.
